Embed Sustainability Thinking in Every Decision and Policy on Tourism

Countries face massive challenges to revive tourism and avoid the pitfalls that led to structural issues that have plagued the sector over the years, said experts at the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) third Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS).

In the session, "Policies and Practices to Foster Sustainable Tourism after COVID-19," a member of the academe urged countries to embed sustainability thinking in every decision and policy governments make on tourism as the panel discussed innovative examples on how to make travel more sustainable.

The session was organized by ADB and the Pacific Asia Travel Association.
