Using IoT and AI in Managing Water Systems (Webinar)

The Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) have a role to play in making sure Southeast Asian countries have sustainable and safe water resources.

A webinar slated on 3 November will look into the use IoT and AI in intelligent water management systems. The webinar will be held via Zoom, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The webinar will explore how AI algorithms, IOT, and big data can be used to enhance  resilience and improve asset management of water utilities by way of real-time  dynamic monitoring and control systems. Panelists will also share the benefits of using smart water management solutions, along with best practices, and how these can be applied in the region.

The webinar is organized by the ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund, which is administered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), with funding from the Government of Australia.

Speakers include: Fang Chen, Distinguished Professor, University of Technology Sydney; Robin Schlenga, Senior Data Scientist, Ramboll Management Consulting; and Andrew O’Brien, Business Solutions Architect, Industry Solutions Group–Transport & Government, Cisco Systems.

Coral Fernandez-Illecas, Principal Water Resources Specialist, ADB, will moderate.
