ASEAN Economies: The Road to Recovery

On

Southeast Asia continues to face challenges as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic persists.

A new report from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) notes that while recovery is underway, the resurgence of the more contagious Delta COVID-19 variant has slowed the region’s growth momentum. GDP growth for Southeast Asian economies is now forecast at 3.1% for 2021, down from the 4.4% projected in the Asian Development Outlook 2021 published in April. For 2022, Southeast Asia will grow at 5%, which is a notch lower than the 5.1% projected in April.

Hear insights from experts on Southeast Asia's outlook from this webinar co-organized by Refinitiv and ADB's Southeast Asia Development Solutions (SEADS).

The webinar took place on 23 September and drew more than 500 attendees.
