Planning for a resilient and inclusive transport sector requires thinking about the user's future requirements while taking into consideration climate change, population and behavior patterns, environmental risks, technology advances, energy supply and demand, among others, said experts during the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS) 2021.
During the session, "Applying Futures Thinking and Foresight to Transport," experts stressed the need to future-proof the sector against disruptions like the pandemic and other megatrends.
