The continued development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) is critical to boost national productivity, create jobs, and drive a sustainable and resilient recovery from the pandemic.
Given the prolonged pandemic, it is essential that funding is available for government assistance to MSMEs on a regular basis. Innovation is needed to build effective long-term support for MSMEs. Knowing how MSMEs survived the first year of the pandemic is an important first step in designing a feasible framework for effective policies during the recovery period within the constraints of national budgets.
