With the pandemic pushing Asia beyond digital transformation and into digital acceleration, countries would need disruptors, visionaries, and futurists to remain at the forefront of global transformation, said Microsoft Asia Pacific President Andrea Della Mattea at the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) third Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS).
She stressed the need to skill workers as digital adoption continues to accelerate. “Perhaps the biggest contribution that everyone can make for long-term societal improvement is developing skills and talent because it's people who drive digital transformation and skilling will be the currency for the post-pandemic world.”
SEADS 2022, "Sustainable Solutions for Southeast Asia's Recovery," was held on 16–17 March.
