This report looks at the achievements of ACGF from the pilot phase between 2019 and 2021.
Southeast Asia is estimated to need $210 billion per year between 2016 and 2030 to support investment in vital climate-compatible infrastructure.
However, infrastructure investment, particularly from private capital sources, was far below the levels needed. The infrastructure investment gap was estimated at between 3.8% to 4.1% of gross domestic product (when taking climate change into account)), in 2016–2020, in some ASEAN countries.
The ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility (ACGF) was conceptualized and set up to develop and scale up climate-positive projects among member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
This report looks at the achievements of ACGF from the pilot phase between 2019 and 2021.
