The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is at a critical juncture in balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability. The region’s rapid industrialization and urbanization have led to increased carbon emissions, deforestation, and resource depletion. Shifting to a green economy is crucial for ensuring long-term resilience and policy effectiveness.

The report evaluates the current state of the green economy transition in ASEAN. By examining various aspects such as green economy metrics, jobs creation, policies and regulations, and investment opportunities, the report identifies gaps and challenges impeding the region’s adoption of a green economy. It aims to assist policymakers in making informed decisions on developing policies and regulations to address these issues.
