This event explores ways to enhance competitiveness in the EU and in ADB members.

Jointly organized by ADB and Leiden University, this online workshop on trade and competitiveness will bring together experts from academia, policymakers from Europe and Asia, and representatives from ADB, to discuss:

  • how key challenges such as climate action, investment, trade, tax governance, and sustainability could be addressed in agreements concluded by the EU and ADB members;
  • how these agreements can foster sustainable economic growth, improve the investment climate, and create new opportunities for businesses; and
  • what steps could be taken enhance competitiveness in the EU and in ADB members.

This workshop is organized in the framework of the strategic partnership between Leiden University and ADB.
