Phetkeo Poumanyvong is an energy and agriculture economist at ERIA. He holds a PhD in environmental and resource economics and an MA in development economics, both from Hiroshima University. Prior to joining ERIA, he served as deputy director general of the Department of Planning and Cooperation at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), Lao PDR; secretary to the minister at both the Prime Minister’s Office and MAF; division director at the National Institute for Economic Research, Lao PDR; and as an assistant professor and postdoctoral researcher at Hiroshima University.
