Mohammad Matin Mohdari is the head of public policy, government, and corporate affairs for Southeast Asia and South Asia at Expedia Group. In this role, he leads efforts to navigate complex risks while identifying key market investment opportunities that drive regional growth. He analyzes public policy developments at the intersection of travel and technology, contributing as a thought-partner with policymakers on legislation that shapes both sectors.

As chair of the travel and tourism committee of the US-ASEAN Business Council, Matin represents Expedia Group in leading collaborative initiatives with the public sector to advance digital transformation, economic development, and sustainability agendas across Southeast Asia and South Asia’s tourism industry.

Previously, he was deputy director for regional public affairs and policy at Grab and was seconded as strategy director to the Tech for Good Institute, a nonprofit think tank established by Grab to promote an equitable, sustainable, and inclusive digital economy in Southeast Asia. Before joining the private sector, Matin served in the Government of Singapore, working on tourism policy planning, industry development, investment promotion, and international marketing.
