Southeast Asia’s energy demand is expected to increase exponentially, entailing transformative actions to pave the way for greener and sustainable energy, which requires massive investments in infrastructure.
This thematic session, "Enabling Energy Transition in Southeast Asia: Mechanisms and Initiatives," at the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) fourth Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS) discussed how to support the region's shift to clean and renewable energy, as well as the role of policy and legislation in mobilizing private capital to finance clean energy investments.

With the theme, "Imagining a Net-Zero ASEAN," SEADS 2023 explored measures governments, communities, and the private sector could take to progress toward carbon neutrality.
