One of the top 10 global health priorities, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) continues to be a challenge for many countries across the globe.

The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) and its partners are working with health institutions and governments to develop systemic solutions to tackle the root causes of AMR spread and emergence.

The Bi-regional (Africa, Asia) Antimicrobial Resistance Policy Workshop aims to highlight the actions countries can take to fight AMR.

The workshop will have a series of sessions covering various key topics including: re-thinking mechanisms of AMR emergence and spread; integrated (One Health) analysis; approaches to AMR economic analyses; integrated surveillance systems; AMR workforce development; policy implications arising from global projects aiming to address AMR; reflections on mobilizing resources for national AMR interventions; and the systematic translation of AMR data/evidence into policy briefs.

The workshop is organized by the Regional AMR Data Analysis for Advocacy, Response, and Policy Project Consortium, which is led by IVI.
