This webinar explores how Shell deployed carbon capture and storage technologies at its Quest plant in Canada.
Oil giant Shell aims to be a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050 and has deployed carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies to meet such goals.
In this webinar, Shell will share lessons on how it has deployed CCS technologies at its Quest plant in Canada. Quest is the world’s first commercial-scale CCS project in an industrial processing facility, designed to capture and permanently store more than one million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually—equivalent to the emissions from approximately 250,000 cars.
Quest is an important project for Shell, demonstrating integrated CCS operations as a model for advancing and deploying CCS technology.
As of March 2023, Quest has captured and stored 8 million tonnes of CO2.
