Technology has never played a greater role in our lives.

While technology continues to turbo charge Southeast Asia’s growth, the reality is that the benefits it has brought forth are also accompanied by underlying challenges. We have only scratched the surface in understanding its impact in a complex region like Southeast Asia.

Against this backdrop, Grab will be launching a new initiative, the Tech For Good Institute. It will be a non-profit, and independently run think tank to advance dialogues and action-oriented research on technology, society, and Southeast Asia.

The event will be graced by Singapore Minister for Communication and Information Josephine Teo and coincide with the release of the institute’s inaugural study on the platform economy in Southeast Asia.
