There is evidence that feed-in tariffs have been effective in encouraging investments in renewable energy.

This study examines the impact of feed-in tariffs on promoting investments in renewable energy in Southeast Asia. It uses data from six countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam. These countries accounted for 88% of renewable energy investments in the region in 2021.
