Off

New opportunities are emerging for net-zero travel as consumers in Asia and the Pacific now demand sustainable tourism options. While businesses catering to the segment have responded with sustainable products and services, much more is needed to bring down the travel industry's carbon footprint.

This session, "Ecotourism 2.0: Navigating the Transition to Net Zero," at the fourth Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS) explored the future of sustainable travel and featured practical steps to engage service providers, local businesses, tourism bodies, and travelers to catalyze joint efforts to reduce tourism’s carbon footprint. It also looked at new technologies, policies, and best practices for transitioning to net-zero travel.
