Public and private sector organizations throughout the Asia-Pacific region are increasingly looking into the nexus between the use of technology, particularly cloud computing, and meeting sustainability and climate goals.

AWS Institute and Eco-Business organized this webinar to look into the role of technology, and cloud computing in particular, in meeting sustainability and climate goals in the Asia Pacific region. This event builds from the 451 study The carbon opportunity of moving to the cloud for APAC which looked at how many enterprises and public sector organizations are unaware that moving workloads to the cloud can dramatically reduce their energy use.

The webinar will feature presentations and a panel discussion with experts on key trends concerning sustainability of the cloud—i.e. how cloud infrastructure manages to run ever greater volumes of IT workloads with increasing efficiency and lower carbon intensity, and why—as well as discussions with leading AWS customers and partners on how they are leveraging the power of the cloud to drive greater sustainability outcomes in their own businesses (i.e. accelerating sustainability in and through the cloud).
