The course will equip participants with essential skills based on good biomanufacturing practices.

Low- and middle-income countries have poor access to vaccines and other bioproducts. To improve access, these countries are seeking to establish capacity in making vaccines and bioproducts. But establishing manufacturing capacity is frequently hampered by the lack of a workforce trained in biomanufacturing.

The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea, thus, established the Global Training Hub for Biomanufacturing (GTH-B) to expand the manufacturing capacity in low- and middle-income countries, thus, improve their access to vaccines and bioproducts.

The GTH-B is now accepting applications for the 2023 edition of the Introductory Course for Standard Practice (GxP). The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) will conduct the training.
