This inaugural event aims to assist emerging economies in leveraging digital technologies for development through innovation and collaboration.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB), in partnership with the Ministry of Finance of Japan, will co-organize the Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Forum from 24 to 27 June 2025 at the ADB Headquarters in Manila. The event aims to assist emerging economies in leveraging digital technologies for development through innovation and collaboration. This inaugural forum will provide a rich environment for dialogue among ADB staff, government officials, industry experts, private sector leaders, and international development organizations on deploying digital technologies to spur inclusive and sustainable development.
A highlight of the forum is the Digital Bridge Policy Dialogue: Ministerial Meeting with representatives from ADB's developing member countries, to be held in collaboration with the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation and the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program. The ministerial meeting aims to enhance regional cooperation on digital development and share best practices.
The forum will also feature a panel with public and private sector leaders, an exhibit, and a solutions challenge.
The Tech Trailblazer Panel will discuss digital transformation in Asia and the Pacific and will present ADB's vision, strategy, and approach to regional digital transformation. The panel aims to highlight opportunities, share lessons, and inspire collaboration for inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.
The Digital Tech & Innovation Marketplace Exhibition will showcase innovative digital solutions and initiatives from ADB stakeholders and partners.
The Google–ADB Solutions Challenge 2025 aims to address issues in agriculture, transport, disaster risk response, education, and healthcare. The challenge seeks to train future developers to create solutions for real-world problems using AI technology; share inspiring stories with external parties such as policymakers and the media; position Asia and the Pacific as a hub for innovation; and enhance the collaboration between ADB and Google for future initiatives.
