Discussions will look into corporate decarbonization strategies in the Southeast Asian context.
At the COP28 climate change conference in Dubai last year, 124 countries pledged to triple renewable energy capacity and double energy efficiency improvements by 2030. Southeast Asia, a major player in this transition, hosts companies committed to renewable energy and emissions reduction. However, these businesses face several challenges including high costs, regulatory confusion, and knowledge gaps.
This 2-day exchange is designed to support corporations and other stakeholders involved in decarbonization efforts (e.g., suppliers, advisors, investors, governments) to better understand the decarbonization landscape and to actively participate in, and drive efforts to decarbonize their operations. It will look into corporate decarbonization strategies within the Southeast Asian context. There will curated learning sessions and interactive discussions where all participants can engage in dialogue.
Discussions will be structured around four modules:
- Understanding the State of Play
- Planning Pathways for Decarbonization
- Executing Projects and Securing Finance
- Reporting and Brand Visibility
