Digital technologies have a role to play in helping countries decarbonize. Available and emerging technologies are already enabling efficiencies that drive decarbonization. These range from satellite technology that provides massive data on how extreme weather is affecting ecosystems to online platforms that allow users to reduce their carbon footprint.
This session, "Digital Innovation to Advance a Net-Zero Future" at the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) fourth Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS), examined game-changing innovations that can further advance countries’ transition to net zero. It also explored policies and initiatives that can help governments accelerate their digital transformation.
