Measuring the Digital Economy
Over the years, digital technologies have developed at an incessant pace and now play a prominent role in life. In response to this, development, academic, and private institutions have started developing meth-ods to measure digitalization. ADB’s Statistics and Data Innovations Unit is developing a framework that uses national accounts and input-output analysis to better understand how the digital economy adds to a country’s gross domestic product.
In this webinar, attendees will have the chance to engage with the speakers and:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the underpinnings of the digital economy from a national accounts perspective
- Discuss the team’s proposed framework and the results of its applications
- Obtain insights on the implications of digitalization on the economy from experts on statistics, in-put-output analysis and policy.
