The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the world’s largest trade deal, came into effect in early 2022, promising a host of advantages for its 15 signatory countries, which account for 30% of the world’s population, 29% of global gross domestic product, 27% of global trade, and 29% of global foreign direct investment. 

Businesses in the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) stand to benefit from RCEP, as it will create favorable conditions for trade, foreign investment, and tourism.
