8th Asia-Pacific Housing Forum: Building Forward Better for Inclusive Housing

Providing adequate housing and building cities for a sustainable recovery after the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic will be the focus of the 8th Asia-Pacific Housing Forum: Building Forward Better for Inclusive Housing slated on 7–9 December.
Organized by Habitat for Humanity and SWITCH-Asia, the forum will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, with limited in-person participation depending on the COVID-19 situation.
The event aims to highlight policies and practical solutions that increase access to safe, decent, and affordable housing.
Speakers include Maimunah Mohd Sharif, executive director of UN-Habitat; Leilani Farha, global director, The Shift, and former UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Housing; and Jonathan Reckford, chief executive officer of Habitat for Humanity International.
Government representatives, business leaders, policymakers, donor agencies, academics, urban planners, architects, property developers, researchers, advocates, and representatives from international organizations, nongovernmental organizations, social enterprises, housing finance organizations, technology companies, and youth organizations are expected to attend.
