The 2021 Asia-Pacific Forum on Green and Low-Carbon Development will be held on 20–22 October in Changsha, Hunan, People's Republic of China (PRC), with the theme, "Carbon Neutral for Our Green Future."

The event is co-hosted by the Government of Hunan Province and Asian Development Bank (ADB) and is the fifth to be conducted since 2015.

It will look at  innovative solutions on climate mitigation, including advanced clean energy technology financing and business models, and low-carbon city development (building and transport). The forum, which aims to support the transition of ADB developing member countries to low-carbon development, will have sessions in Changsa, Hunan, PRC, as well as online.

The forum will include two days of conference, one-day field visit, and an exhibition of low-carbon technologies to promote on-site business matching and cooperation. The conference will consist of an opening ceremony, two plenary sessions, six parallel sessions, a hotpot business session, and a closing ceremony.

The forum has become a flagship event for policy dialogue, business cooperation and knowledge sharing and will support the efforts of the Asia and the Pacific region in transitioning toward low-carbon development.

The past four forums were attended by high-level officials, business managers and experts from more than 40 countries and UN agencies and international organizations, including Ban Ki-moon, the 8th UN Secretary-General, Xie Zhenhua, the PRC's Special Representative for Climate Change Affairs, among others. Three large-scale business networking events and four exhibitions on low-carbon technologies were convened to enhance business cooperation amongst the participants.
